| In 2001 Playwrights-Forum, here in Memphis, staged a reading
of my play "Garden at Memphis". This play was about a young girl in Memphis who's grandfather buys
her an antique chair at an estate sale and ultimately discovers the chair can bring historical
characters back from the past and into the lives of her looney family in current day Memphis. If you
have any interest in this work, feel free to send me an e-mail at guycobb@bellsouth.net Other works I have written (but have not been produced) are "Burning Roses" about my freshman year at Ole Miss in 1982, which coincided with the twentieth anniversary of James Meredith's entry into Ole Miss' as the school's first black student and "The Memphis Electric Chair Company", a play about a family who's lives are deeply affected by mental illness. | ||
